At Brion Rieff Boat Builders Inc. we have worked on a wide variety of traditional boats--both sail and power--but our speciality is in the restoration of 6 Meters, Herreshoff sailboats, and  wooden spar fabrication. 6-Meter Restorations

We enjoy restoring 6-meters. The original design dates back to 1908, and Sixes were the first Olympic racing class.   They were raced in the Olympics until 1954.  There has been a resurgence of interest in these boats in the New England and in Europe, and we are proud to say that our restored 6-meter boats competed in the North American and World Championships.  ALANA, a 6 Meter designed by William Fife III,  was recently in our shop for new spars, deck hardware, and other work. We also restored LUCIE (1930, Clinton Crane), TOTEM (1930, Bill Luders), and FLAPPER (1939, Christian Jensen).
